Brian Ruby
PT, DPT
Brian was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon. He is the youngest of three brothers, all of whom were competitive musicians growing up. Taking an early interest in music helped him to discover his interest in teaching, and striving to always improve upon his trade. He graduated from the University of Oregon with his Bachelor's in Human Physiology, then moved to Maine to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy. He then began a career in outpatient orthopedics, taking special interest in occupational health and work-related injury rehabilitation. He is experienced in work conditioning, workplace risk assessments, functional capacity evaluations, and fit-for-duty screening evaluations. He has worked with many diverse populations, including refugees, laborers, shiphands, restaurateurs, retirees, long-distance runners, and high school athletes, to name a few. After 6 years in the state of Maine, he and his wife returned to the state of Washington to be closer to their families. He values compassionate care, individualized treatment, and empowerment for each one of his patients. Brian enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife and cat.
